01

What is included in the surgical cost at RASA?

A RASA quotation covers the surgeon’s fee, operating theatre and consumables, intraoperative medication, anaesthesia, basic postoperative medication and supplies, scheduled follow-up visits, and a compression garment where the procedure requires one. Preoperative investigations and implants are quoted separately so that each item is transparent.

Clinical detail

Itemised quotation lets you compare providers on a like-for-like basis. A low "all-inclusive" figure that does not specify the anaesthetic type, implant model or whether follow-up is included cannot be compared against a detailed quotation.

Three items are commonly hidden in non-transparent quotes: anaesthesia costs (sedation, intravenous and endotracheal anaesthesia differ substantially), the implant brand and line, and the cost of follow-up or any additional intervention.

RASA issues a specific quotation after the in-person examination, once the operative scope is defined. Figures discussed beforehand by phone or online are indicative ranges only.

02

How much does abdominal liposuction cost?

At RASA, anterior abdominal liposuction is around 45 million VND, posterior trunk liposuction 45 million, and thigh liposuction 60 million. These are indicative figures. The exact cost requires an in-person assessment and may vary from one period to another.

Clinical detail

Per-area cost typically decreases when several areas are combined in one session, since theatre and anaesthetic costs are shared. Whether to combine or stage must be decided on safety limits for volume and operative time, not on cost.

The anaesthetic type materially affects the total. Sedation, intravenous and endotracheal anaesthesia carry different fees and are selected according to the scale of surgery rather than patient preference.

When comparing providers, ask three things: whether anaesthesia is included, whether the garment and follow-up are included, and who will personally perform the operation.

03

How much does breast augmentation cost?

Indicative ranges at RASA: round Mentor from 60 million VND, Motiva Ergonomic from 70 million, Mentor Gel Xtra from 85 million, Motiva Ergonomic 2 from 110 million. Breast reduction from 60 million and mastopexy from 20 million depending on grade. The variation is driven mainly by the implant line; surgical and anaesthetic fees are comparable.

Clinical detail

The difference between implant lines reflects product cost, not the quality of the operation. A more expensive implant does not automatically give a better result; what matters is the fit between implant and your breast anatomy.

Combining mastopexy with augmentation in one stage costs more than augmentation alone, given the longer operative time and greater complexity. This is usually the correct indication for a breast with both volume loss and ptosis.

Ask for written confirmation of the implant model and lot number used, along with the manufacturer’s warranty card. This is your entitlement and is necessary information for long-term follow-up.

04

How much does a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) cost?

Abdominoplasty at RASA starts from around 50 million VND, varying with the extent of skin excess, whether fascial plication is included, and whether flank liposuction is combined. Cases following multiple pregnancies or major weight loss typically sit at the higher end given the broader scope.

Clinical detail

This is major surgery with a long operative time, requiring endotracheal anaesthesia and usually an overnight stay. These factors are reflected in the cost and are why it should not be compared directly with liposuction pricing.

In many cases the sensible plan combines abdominoplasty with flank liposuction in one stage for a balanced contour. Combining is more economical than two separate operations and is also safer where it stays within acceptable operative time limits.

Preoperative investigations and the inpatient night are quoted separately rather than folded into the surgical fee.

05

How much does a deep plane facelift cost?

A deep plane facelift at RASA starts from around 60 million VND, temporal lifting from 25 million, and full-face fat grafting from 40 million. Variation depends on the extent of the dissection and whether fat grafting or neck work is combined.

Clinical detail

The cost reflects technical complexity. Deep plane dissection works around the facial nerve branches, takes considerably longer than a superficial lift, and is not performed by every surgeon.

In most comprehensive rejuvenation plans, lifting is combined with fat grafting to restore volume. Lifting without volume restoration produces a taut but hollow face, so the two techniques complement rather than substitute for one another.

If budget is a consideration, raise it openly at the consultation. A staged pathway is often possible, addressing the elements with the clearest impact first.

06

Does RASA offer payment plans or instalments?

RASA does not currently offer instalment plans. Payment is by cash or bank transfer, with a deposit to secure the operating date and the balance settled before surgery. Deposit amounts and timing are confirmed after your consultation.

Clinical detail

A frank perspective: aesthetic surgery is elective, not urgent. If the cost creates financial strain, the sensible course is usually to defer and prepare rather than borrow to proceed sooner.

A staged pathway is often possible: address the element producing the clearest change first and the remainder later. Your surgeon will advise a sensible order of priority for your situation.

RASA does not run campaign discounts or time-limited promotions on surgery. Cost is set by operative scope, not by season.

07

Is consultation at RASA free?

The first consultation at RASA is free of charge, conducted personally by Dr. Le Trung Kien over 45 to 60 minutes. You are not asked to decide during the consultation and incur no cost if you choose not to proceed.

Clinical detail

If the consultation requires additional investigations such as breast ultrasound or blood tests, those costs are quoted in advance and you decide whether to proceed.

An appointment is required. RASA schedules consultations in dedicated time slots to ensure adequate time and privacy rather than operating a walk-in queue.

08

How do I book a consultation at RASA?

Book by hotline or Zalo on +84 966 990 086, or submit the contact form at rasa.org.vn. Our patient care team will confirm a time slot. Please book in advance, as RASA does not accept walk-in visits.

Clinical detail

When booking, briefly describe the area of interest so that adequate time can be allocated and relevant material prepared. Complex cases are given longer consultation slots.

Bring: a list of current medications and supplements, any recent health check results, and a few reference images of the outcome you have in mind.

If you have had surgery elsewhere and want an assessment, bring the operative note and details of any device used, if you still have them.

09

Where is RASA located and what are the opening hours?

RASA Surgical Practice is at No. 3, Row B, 105 Lac Long Quan Street, Tay Ho Ward, Hanoi. Opening hours are 8:00 to 17:00. Contact by hotline or Zalo on +84 966 990 086. Please book before visiting.

Clinical detail

RASA operates from a single location in Hanoi. If you see information about a RASA branch elsewhere, it is not ours.

Some major procedures are performed at a partner hospital with an accredited operating theatre and inpatient facilities. The partner hospital address is not RASA’s contact address; all enquiries and consultations take place at the address above.

10

Who personally performs the surgery?

At RASA, the surgeon who consults with you is the surgeon who operates on you, and that surgeon performs the entire procedure from start to finish without delegating stages to assistants. If another RASA surgeon will be operating, you are told and taken through this clearly from the outset.

Clinical detail

This is a question worth asking at any facility you consider, and you should expect an answer with a specific name. Within the industry, the consulting doctor and the operating surgeon being different people is far more common than patients assume.

A practical consequence of this principle is a limited daily caseload. RASA operates a low-volume model and does not accept more than the surgeon can perform personally. That means the operating schedule may involve a wait.

The anaesthetic and nursing team are specialists in their own right and work consistently with the same surgical team. Team stability has a real effect on operative safety.

11

Where is the surgery performed and what are the operating theatre facilities?

Minor procedures are performed at RASA. Major surgery requiring endotracheal anaesthesia and inpatient monitoring is performed at a partner hospital with an accredited operating theatre, full resuscitation equipment and a dedicated anaesthetic team.

Clinical detail

This division follows a safety principle: the scale of the operation determines the venue, not convenience. Major surgery requires resuscitation capability and inpatient monitoring, conditions a clinic cannot substitute for.

You will be told the venue clearly at your consultation, together with the reasoning. This is information you are entitled to before deciding.

The surgical team travels with the case regardless of venue. The operating surgeon, anaesthetic team and scrub nurses remain the same.

12

What is RAPI?

RAPI (RASA Aesthetic Psychological Index) is an aesthetic-psychological assessment framework developed by RASA to structure each patient’s expectations and motivations before surgical consultation. The basic assessment is available free at rasa.org.vn.

Clinical detail

The reason RASA built this instrument: the strongest predictor of satisfaction after aesthetic surgery is not surgical technique but the gap between expectation and achievable result. A technically flawless operation can still disappoint if initial expectations were unrealistic.

RAPI is not a medical diagnostic tool and does not replace specialist psychological assessment. It supports consultation by making motivations and expectations clearer to both surgeon and patient before a decision is made.

In some cases the RAPI result leads to a recommendation against surgery at that time. RASA regards this as a valuable outcome rather than a missed opportunity.

13

What happens if the result is not as expected?

RASA follows you on a standard schedule to the 6-month mark, when the result has stabilised enough for objective assessment. If something requires revision within the agreed technical scope, RASA discusses the approach and applicable terms with you. Policy details are set out in your file before you sign the surgical consent.

Clinical detail

Three situations must be distinguished. First, medical complications (haematoma, infection, capsular contracture), managed under clinical protocol. Second, an aesthetic result that is technically suboptimal. Third, a result that matches what was agreed but differs from your original expectation.

The third is the hardest, and the reason RASA invests heavily in the consultation phase and in the RAPI instrument. Establishing clearly, in words and images, what is achievable before surgery prevents most of these situations.

RASA does not guarantee absolute results. Surgery is an intervention on living tissue with individually variable healing responses, and any firm guarantee of outcome would be medically dishonest.
