The seven-volume collection of the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, published by Medical Publishing House, was launched before more than 300 surgeons in Can Tho on 3 October 2026. Dr. Le Trung Kien is a member of the editorial team and author of three chapters in Volumes 3 and 5.

Seven volumes, one shared foundation for postgraduate training
On the afternoon of 3 October 2026 at Sheraton Can Tho Hotel, the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy launched its seven-volume postgraduate textbook collection before more than 300 surgeons. Dr. Le Trung Kien is a member of the editorial team, author of three chapters in Volumes 3 and 5, and signed copies for trainees and colleagues alongside the author team.
The Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery textbook collection comprises seven volumes, from basic principles to each anatomical region, published by Medical Publishing House in 2024 and 2025. The editor-in-chief is Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Lam, MD, PhD, Vice Rector of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, working with the Department's faculty.
The launch took place within the Renuvion J-Plasma Workshop 2026, organised by Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, the Mekong Delta Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (MSAPS) and Medical Publishing House. The author team was introduced on stage, followed by a signing session at which trainees, students and colleagues queued to receive copies directly from the authors.

As faculty of the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Dr. Le Trung Kien wrote two chapters on breast surgery in Volume 3 and one on buttock lift surgery in Volume 5, joined the author team on stage and signed copies for delegates.

According to Dr. Kien, the collection was written to progress from basic to advanced topics and to include recent research worldwide. The authors' aim is for the knowledge in these books to serve not only for study but as a foundation for doctors entering clinical practice.
